In Cappadocia, hot air balloons are scheduled to fly all year round and only get cancelled when the weather is not suitable (raining, foggy, snowing, or too windy).

Why do balloons get cancelled?

When the wind speed is too fast, when the weather is foggy, raining, or snowing, for safety reasons, the aviation authority forbids balloon flights. Once it is cancelled, no balloon is allowed to fly.

In Cappadocia, we have beautiful 4 seasons, and every season has its own charm and view, so balloon ride is good for every month of the year.

Which months have less cancellation rate?

Statistics from past years, 04/01 to 10/30, cancellation rate is average is 10-20%. 11/01 to 3/31, cancellation rate is 70-85%.

What happens to my booking if my balloon flight gets cancelled by aviation authority due to weather conditions?

- Step one: We will try to find same price spaces for next day and/or the day after
- Step two: If same price spaces all sold out, then we will try to find updated price spaces (usually a lot higher as it is last minute) if there is still space available, and we will ask if you want to pay the difference to get those spaces

*** Because balloon spaces are limited by regulation and are usually being fully booked weeks or even months in advance, no any company can guarantee to find space for the next day, we can only try our best.

*** If in the end we couldn’t find any spaces for you, or if you choose not to pay the difference for the higher price spaces, we will refund you the full amount
